1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern your use of the Alæc website, Help Center, Studio, Admin, Console and Office add-ins, to the extent those services are available to you. By using a service, you accept the terms applicable to it.
Your relationship with Alæc
Alæc means the service provider identified in your customer agreement, order or participation agreement. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so and follow that organization’s rules.
Separate agreements
A written agreement covering your organization, subscription or pilot program takes precedence over these terms if they conflict on the same subject. Describing a feature on the website does not amend that agreement.
2. Account and access
You must have legal capacity to accept these terms. Individual access lets you use the functions authorized for your account; it does not automatically grant access to an organization’s or project’s information.
Protecting your account
Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials private and do not share your session. Promptly report access you did not authorize to your administrator or Alæc contact.
Working context
Before viewing, memorizing or sharing content, check the selected account, affiliation, organization, project and recipients. Your administrator may manage permissions and remove access under your organization’s rules.
3. Permitted use
Use Alæc for lawful activities within your permissions, subscription and rights to the information being processed.
Respect for people and rights
Do not supply unlawfully obtained content or use the service to commit fraud, harass, impersonate someone, infringe another person’s rights or disclose confidential information without permission. Professional rules and your organization’s obligations continue to apply.
Service integrity
Do not attempt to cross an access boundary, bypass usage restrictions, extract data you are not entitled to access or disrupt the service. Security testing and automated access must be authorized and follow the supported interfaces and limits.
4. Your information and results
Your messages, files, emails, documents and other information remain subject to their owners’ rights. Using them in Alæc does not transfer ownership to Alæc.
Rights needed for processing
You must have permission to submit content and request its processing. You authorize Alæc to process that content as needed to carry out your requests and provide the service, under the applicable settings, permissions and agreements. Permission to view information does not by itself permit reuse or distribution.
Using results
Subject to third-party rights and your agreement, you may use results produced for you. Alæc does not assert ownership of those results against you. A result may resemble another user’s result and may not qualify for exclusive legal protection. Check licenses, citations and permissions before reusing it.
5. Artificial intelligence and review
Alæc helps you find, understand, prepare and structure information. A generated result may contain errors, omissions, inaccurate references or information that is no longer current.
Checking before use
Review results against relevant sources. Check calculations, quantities, standards, dates, recipients and attachments before inserting, sending, publishing or approving content. A citation or polished formatting does not establish that a result is correct.
Professional responsibility
Results are not a professional signature, seal, certification or approval. Design, compliance, health, safety, legal and financial decisions must follow the required qualified human review. You remain responsible for how you use a result and for actions you authorize.
6. Privacy and sharing
Limit information you submit to what your task needs. Apply the confidentiality, personal information protection and retention obligations governing your work.
Sharing permissions
A conversation, project space or document may be accessible to other people according to its scope and permissions. Before sharing, check the content, authorized people and client or project restrictions. Do not assume that an affiliation authorizes you to view or distribute all content.
Privacy information
Consult the public privacy information and your agreement for the applicable processing rules. These terms do not replace a privacy notice and do not constitute consent to optional analytics cookies.
Read the privacy information7. Third-party services and service ownership
Some functions may use Microsoft 365, model providers, connectors or external content. Availability depends in part on the relevant permissions and services.
Third-party terms
Your third-party accounts and services remain subject to their providers’ terms. A link, search result or third-party reference is not an endorsement of its content by Alæc. Check access conditions and reuse rights with the source.
Brand and software
The Alæc brand, interfaces, software and editorial content remain their owners’ property. Access permits you to use the service for its intended purpose; it does not permit you to resell it, present yourself as Alæc or reuse its branding without permission.
8. Availability, pilot programs and fees
Available functions may vary with your role, organization, enabled integrations and service offering. A demonstration or roadmap does not guarantee delivery of a feature.
Service changes
Interruptions, maintenance or changes may affect the service. Pilot or beta functions may change or be withdrawn. Keep the working copies and continuity procedures your activities require; no specific service level is promised outside your agreement.
Commercial terms
Prices, taxes, usage limits, renewals, cancellations and refunds are those stated in the applicable order or agreement, subject to your legal rights. These terms alone do not create a paid subscription or automatic renewal.
9. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Alæc. Account closure or ending a subscription follows the processes and obligations in your agreement.
Restricting access
Alæc may limit or suspend access for a breach of these terms, unauthorized use, a security threat or a legal obligation. Immediate action may be needed to protect people, data or the service. You may request a review of a restriction through your Alæc contact.
Information after access ends
Before access ends, retrieve documents you are authorized to retain where available functions allow it. Retention or deletion depends on applicable rules and your organization’s rights; stopping use of an account does not necessarily delete shared documents.
10. Warranties and responsibility
Alæc is an assistance tool. Unless your agreement or a legally required warranty provides otherwise, Alæc does not guarantee that a result will be complete, accurate or suitable for a particular decision.
Allocation of responsibility
You are responsible for your instructions, rights to submitted content and the reviews needed for its use. Service commitments and any liability limits agreed in your contract continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Protected rights
No provision removes a mandatory warranty, statutory remedy or right you cannot waive. These terms do not limit liability that the law prohibits excluding or limiting.
11. Changes and interpretation
The date at the top of this page identifies this version of the text. Alæc may revise it as the service and applicable requirements change.
Notice and effective application
Where law or your agreement requires advance notice or renewed acceptance, posting revised text alone does not replace that requirement. If you reject an applicable change, stop the affected use and consult your agreement’s service termination provisions.
Remaining provisions
If a provision cannot be enforced, the others remain applicable to the extent permitted. A delay in addressing a breach does not waive the right to enforce these terms.
12. Questions, reports and disputes
For a question about these terms, an access problem or a content-related claim, use the contact paths shown on the website or your usual Alæc contact.
Information for follow-up
Describe the issue, affected service, date and, where needed, the content reference. For an alleged rights infringement, explain your authority to act and the right involved. Do not send passwords or confidential information unnecessary to the report.
Resolving disputes
The parties may seek an amicable solution without removing anyone’s remedies or extending statutory deadlines. Governing law and competent authorities are those stated in your agreement, subject to mandatory rules; otherwise, applicable legal rules determine them. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
